一、公告依據:

依據「東吳大學哲名集團馬來西亞學子助學金實施辦法」公告申請相關事宜。

二、宗旨:

本校傑出校友謝子仁(企管系66級)為鼓勵馬來西亞學子就讀東吳大學,減輕其在臺生活負擔。特訂定「東吳大學哲名集團馬來西亞學子助學金實施辦法」(以下簡稱「本辦法」)

三、申請資格:

一、 身分:

經本校「僑生及港澳生來臺就學單獨招生」錄取、海外聯合招生委員會個人申請或聯合分發錄取,或外國學生申請入學管道錄取之馬來西亞籍學生。

二、 就讀本校滿一學期者,前學期操行成績須達80分以上需在學期間未受記小過(含)以上懲處,且符合下列資格之一者:

(一)大學部前學期應修之最低學分數依本校學則規定,學業成績平均70分以上。

(二)研究所前學期至少修習一科,學業成績平均80分以上。

(三)博士或碩士班撰寫論文期間無學期成績時,得提出論文撰寫計劃,包括研究動機與目的、研究架構與設計、資料蒐集來源、論文大綱、參考書目等,採本類申請者以2次為限。

三、 家庭狀況需求殷切者,列入優先考量:

(一)由學生提供正式海外財力證明或清寒證明。必要時,得由學校逕函請僑務委員會等單位查證。

(二)綜合考評僑生在臺生活情形(參照教育部清寒助學金審查項目)。

四、申請繳交文件:

申請者應於公告申請期限內完成線上申請,並上傳下列資料:

1.     在學證明/學生證正反面(加蓋本校在學證明章)

2.     居留證正面

3.     歷年成績單(含操行成績及歷年排名)或其他資料

4.     其他有利證明家境經濟狀況之相關文件

五、審核方式:

每學期提供新臺幣一萬元助學金,名額5名,由國際交流委員會依評選標準審查,擇優錄取。若申請人數不足,經費可保留至下學期,並依審查結果,擇優補足名額,全學年補助總名額以10名為限。

六、申請期限:

符合上述資格者,請於 2025128日(一)下午五點前 完成線上申請與資料上傳。逾期申請或缺件者,恕不受理。

Application for “The JEMI Group Malaysian Student Scholarship”

According to the Soochow University Guidelines for the JEMI Group Malaysian Student Scholarship, please find the application information below:

Eligibility:

1.     Malaysian students admitted through the University’s direct admissions process, the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students or international students admissions process.

2.     Academic Requirements:

Current students (who have completed at least one semester) must meet the following criteria:

(1) Conduct score of at least 80 in the previous semester

(2) No disciplinary records of demerit (or more severe penalties) during their studies

(3) Fulfill one of the following academic performance requirements: 

* Undergraduate students must meet the minimum credit requirements specified in the University’s academic regulations for the previous semester and obtain an average academic score of 70 or above.

*Graduate students must have taken at least one course in the previous semester and obtained an average academic score of 80 or above.

*Doctoral or master’s students without semester grades due to thesis writing must submit a thesis research proposal, including research motivation and objectives, research framework and design, data collection sources, thesis outline and reference list. This category of applications is limited to a maximum of two applications.

3. Priority will be given to students with financial difficulties, based on the following criteria:

(1) Submission of an official overseas financial statement or proof of financial hardship. If necessary, the University may verify the financial status through the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) or other relevant institutions.

(2) A comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s financial situation in Taiwan (in reference to the Ministry of Education’s Scholarship for Financially Disadvantaged Students assessment criteria).

* Students who are receiving the MOE Taiwan Scholarship, the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC)-Soochow University Joint Scholarship for Outstanding and Excellent Overseas Chinese Students, and other Soochow University overseas students grants, are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Required Documents:

Applicants who meet the above criteria should complete the online application form and upload the following documents:

1.     Enrollment Certificate / Copy of Student ID (both sides, with valid enrollment stamp).

2.     Copy of Alien Resident Certificate (front side).

3.     Full Academic Transcript (including conduct grade) or Other Documents

4.     Financial Condition Documents

Review Process:

Each recipient will receive NT$10,000 per semester, with five recipients per semester. The selection is subject to review and approval by the International Exchange Committee based on the evaluation criteria. The remaining funds may be carried over to the next semester, if there are insufficient applicants. The total annual scholarship quota is limited to ten recipients per academic year.

Application Deadline:

Please complete the online form and upload all required documents by 5:00 p.m., December 8, 2025 (Monday). Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
