The School of Continuing Education at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU SCE) invites you to its flagship event, “Empowering Tomorrow: International Symposium on Building Climate Resilience for Generations to Come”. The symposium, hosted by HKBU SCE, will be held in person at The Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies (WLB), Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong, on Friday, 12 June 2026 from 9:00am to 5:30pm (Hong Kong Time).
Key Highlights:
Through focused sessions on the role of nature-based solutions, education, youth agency, and environmental psychology, the symposium highlights the importance of equipping individuals and communities with the knowledge, tools, and mindset needed to adapt and thrive. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-sector collaboration, the symposium aims to inspire forward-thinking and actionable strategies that support long-term resilience for current and future generations. Specifically, this symposium will:
- Explore the socio-ecological, technological, and policy dimensions of building climate resilience across different regions
- Foster intergenerational dialogue on sustainable development, climate justice, and long-term resilience planning
- Discuss innovative strategies and successful case studies for developing climate resilience across various communities and sectors
- Inform future national and regional climate adaptation and education strategies
