【公告依據】

依據「東吳大學外國學生、僑生及港澳生助學金實施辦法」公告申請相關事宜。

【宗旨】

本校為鼓勵外國學生、僑生及港澳生等在學生努力向學,特訂定「東吳大學外國學生、僑生及港澳生助學金實施辦法」(以下簡稱本辦法)。

【申請資格】

一、身分:

  • (一)  僑生:具本校正式學籍,且依「僑生回國就學及輔導辦法」來臺就讀本校之僑生。
  • (二)  港澳學生:具本校正式學籍,且依「香港、澳門居民來臺就學辦法」來臺就讀本校之港澳學生。
  • (三)  外國學生:具本校正式學籍,且由外國學生申請入學管道就讀者。
  • (四)  經一般生考試管道錄取入學,且於在學期間申請轉換身份別後,始可申請。

二、就讀本校滿一學期者,前學期操行成績須達80分以上需在學期間未受記小過(含)以上懲處,且符合下列資格之一者:

  • (一)  大學部前學期應修之最低學分數依本校學則規定,學業成績平均60分以上。
  • (二)  研究所前學期至少修習一科,學業成績平均70分以上。
  • (三)  博士或碩士班撰寫論文期間無學期成績時,得提出論文撰寫計劃,包括研究動機與目的、研究架構與設計、資料蒐集來源、論文大綱、參考書目等,採本類申請者以2次為限。
  • (四)  轉學生當學期入學無相關成績者,須檢附中文或英文檢定證明及其他申請文件。

三、家庭狀況需求殷切者,列入優先考量:

  • (一)    由學生提供正式海外財力證明或清寒證明。必要時,得由學校逕函請僑務委員會等單位查證。
  • (二)    綜合考評申請者在臺生活情形(參照教育部清寒助學金審查項目)。

四、當學期受領「教育部臺灣獎學金」、「外交部臺灣獎學金」、「東吳大學頂尖與傑出僑生聯名獎學金」者,不得申請本助學金。

五、當學期獲頒「東吳大學鼓勵優秀外國學生、僑生及港澳生學士班新生入學補助」、「東吳大學鼓勵優秀外國學生、僑生及港澳生碩博士班新生入學補助」、「東吳大學碩、博士班優秀新生獎勵金」、「東吳大學喜瑪拉雅研究發展基金會獎學金」者,不得重複請領本助學金。

【申請繳交文件】

申請者應於公告申請期限內完成線上申請,並上傳下列資料:

  1. 歷年成績單(含操行成績及歷年排名)或其他佐證文件
  2. 在學證明
  3. 居留證正面
  4. 其他有利證明家境經濟狀況之相關文件

【核發金額及名額】

依實際可支應之經費核定;每名學生每學期補助金額以新臺幣一萬元為上限。

【申請期限】

符合上述資格者,請於 2026年5月3日 (日) 下午五點前  完成線上申請與資料上傳。逾期申請或缺件者,恕不受理。

Application for “The Grant for International Students, Overseas Chinese Students, and Hong Kong and Macao Students”

According to the Guidelines for the Grant for International Students, Overseas Chinese Students, and Hong Kong and Macao Students, please find the application information below:

【Eligibility】

1.  Status:

  • (1)  Overseas Chinese Students: Students who are admitted to the University in accordance with the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan and are officially enrolled at the University.
  • (2)  Hong Kong and Macao Students: Students who are admitted to the University in accordance with the Regulations for Hong Kong and Macao Residents Studying in Taiwan and are officially enrolled at the University.
  • (3)  International students: Students with official student status at the University admitted through the international student admission channel.
  • (4)  Students admitted through the general admission channel must have completed a change of student status during their enrollment before applying the scholarship.

2.  Academic Requirements:
Students who have completed at least one semester at the University must meet the following criteria: conduct score of at least 80 in the previous semester; no disciplinary records of demerit (or more severe penalties) during their studies; and fulfill one of the following academic performance requirements:

  • (1)  Undergraduate students must meet the minimum credit requirements specified in the University’s academic regulations for the previous semester and obtain an average academic score of 60 or above.
  • (2)  Graduate students must have taken at least one course in the previous semester and obtained an average academic score of 70 or above.
  • (3)  Doctoral or master’s students without semester grades due to thesis writing must submit a thesis research proposal, including research motivation and objectives, research framework and design, data collection sources, thesis outline, and reference list. Applications under this category are limited to a maximum of two times.
  • (4)  Transfer students who do not have academic records for the current semester at the time of admission must submit proof of Chinese or English language proficiency and other required application documents.

3.  Priority will be given to students with financial difficulties, based on the following criteria:

  • (1)  Submission of an official overseas financial statement or proof of financial hardship. If necessary, the University may verify the financial status through the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) or other relevant institutions.
  • (2)  A comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s living conditions in Taiwan (with reference to the Ministry of Education’s criteria for financially disadvantaged student aid).

4.  Students who are receiving the following scholarships or grants in the same semester are not eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  • (1)  MOE Taiwan Scholarship
  • (2)  MOFA Taiwan Scholarship
  • (3)  Soochow University Joint Scholarship for Outstanding and Excellent Overseas Chinese Students

5.  Students who are receiving the following scholarships in the same semester are not eligible to apply:

  • (1)  Soochow University Grant for Encouraging Outstanding International Students, Overseas Chinese Students, and Hong Kong and Macao Students to Enroll in the Undergraduate Programs
  • (2)  Soochow University Grant for Encouraging Outstanding International Students, Overseas Chinese Students, and Hong Kong and Macau Students to Enroll in Graduate and Doctoral Programs
  • (3)  Soochow University Outstanding Graduate Student Entrance Scholarship (Master’s and Doctoral Programs)
  • (4)  Soochow University Himalaya Foundation Scholarship

【Required Documents】

Applicants who meet the above criteria should complete the online application form and upload the following documents:

  1. Full Academic Transcript (including conduct grade) or Other Documents
  2. Enrollment Certificate
  3. Copy of Alien Resident Certificate (front side)
  4. Financial Condition Documents

【Grant Amount and Quota】

The scholarship amount and quota shall be determined based on the actual available funding for the academic year. The maximum amount awarded to each recipient is NT$10,000 per semester.

【Application Deadline】

Please complete the online form and upload all required documents by 5:00 p.m., May 3, 2026 (Sunday). Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
