為紀念匈牙利籍趙德恕神父（Fr. Imre Zsoldos）對臺灣的貢獻，由台北匈牙利貿易辦事處葛凱達代表（Gergely KÁDÁR）發起勸募，藉由匈牙利臺資企業的經費支持，鼓勵匈牙利大學生到東吳大學（以下簡稱本校）修讀課程或學分。了解臺灣語言、文化、社會、經貿與風俗習慣等，並於其返回匈牙利後，回饋臺資企業，貢獻所學，特設置「東吳大學富蘭克林匈牙利臺資企業學習獎學金設置辦法」（以下簡稱本辦法）。

In commemoration of the contributions made by Fr. Imre Zsoldos, a Hungarian priest, to Taiwan, Mr. Gergely KÁDÁR, Representative of the Hungarian Trade Office in Taipei, initiated a fundraising campaign. With financial support from Taiwanese-invested enterprises in Hungary, the initiative aims to encourage Hungarian postgraduate students to undertake coursework or earn academic credits at Soochow University, Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as "the University").

The objective is to deepen students’ understanding of Taiwan’s language, culture, society, economy, and customs. Upon their return to Hungary, students are expected to apply their knowledge in service of Taiwanese-invested enterprises. To support this initiative, the “Soochow University Guidelines for Franklin INC. Taiwanese-Invested Enterprises Scholarship for Hungarian Students” (hereinafter referred to as "these Guidelines") has been established.
