Nomination and Students Application
  • Applying for Spring semester: Nomination --- Sep 1st to Sep 30th / Student Application --- Oct 1st to 31st.
  • Applying for Fall semester: Nomination --- Mar 1st to Mar 31st / Student Application --- Apr 1st to 30th.
  • Home Universities nominations: Please send us the nomination form including students' names, gender, emails, study levels, majors nationalities, date of birth and exchange period to sophia.chien@scu.edu.tw. 
  • Student application: Please follow the steps to proceed and fill out the on-line application form.
Estimated Arrival Date

Fall 2026: September 10, 2026 (All exchange students are required to arrive at least 1 day before Orientation.)

Orientation Date
Fall 2026: September 11, 2026 (might be changed)
Airport Pick-up Service: Only for students who stay in the dorm. Spring Semester 2026 : September 10, 2026
 
Application Documents
Step 1: Online application
Online Application could be submitted once being nominated by your home university. Please prepare the following required documents to be uploaded  when submitting your application:
  • An official transcript from home university (all prior to the exchange).
  • A photocopy of passport
  • A passport-sized photo (for Student ID Card)
  • A study plan & statement of purpose (in one document)
  • Language Proficiency Certificate (if any, not required)
Step 2: Health certificate submission

Please prepare ORIGINAL COPIES of completed Health Certificate (Valid for 3 months before the entry date) after receeiving your Letter of Admission. PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME EMBASSIS ALSO REQUIRE YOUR HEALTH CERTIFICATES BEFORE ISSUING THE VISA.

         1. Health Certificate for Short-Term Students(Form C-1 semester))/ Health Certificate for Residence Application(1 Year)

         2. Copy of test results/vaccine records.

Insurance

Accident Insurance

  • Accident insurance is MANDATORY for all incoming exchange students. Students are requested to join and purchase the accident insurance plan in addition to their own insurance from their home country/university offered by SU.
  • Insurance Fee: NT$ 1,020 for 6 months (NT$170 per month)/ NT$2,040 for 12 months (two semesters) and will be collected upon orientation.

Health Insurance (OPTIONAL)

  • According to the Central Epidemic Control Center (CECC) announcement, SU is now strongly regulating every exchange students to get health insurance with SU. If you already get health insurance in home country, you need to provide a copy of the insurance policy which proves that you did buy medical insurance to SU and sign the Affidavit. We'll have the students sign the Affidavit on the Orientation Day.
  • Insurance Fee: NT$ 3,000 for 6 months (NT$500 per month)/ NT$ 6,000 for 12 months (two semesters) and will be collected upon orientation.

The fee is subject to change according to the Group Insurance Package and contract every semester.
