On September 24, 2026, Soochow University (SU) welcomed the delegation from the Faculty of Business and Management, Koblenz University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Koblenz), Germany, including Prof. Dr. Andreas Hesse, Program Director Ms. Natascha Berg, and Program Manager Ms. Sophia Sturm. As SU is currently its only partner institution in Taiwan, this inaugural visit marked an important milestone in the partnership between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for further strengthening faculty and student exchanges, as well as academic collaboration in the future.

Soochow University’s International & Cross-Strait Academic Exchange Office organized a Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake giveaway on September 23, 2026, at both the Waishuanghsi and Downtown campuses. International degree-seeking students, exchange students, Chinese language students, and student volunteers were invited to join in the festivities and learn more about Mid-Autumn Festival traditions. A total of 450 mooncakes in two flavors—taro mochi and red bean with salted egg yolk—were distributed to the students.

Please note that room assignments were made primarily according to the order in which the housing application forms were submitted. Priority was given to students whose home university coordinators contacted us regarding financial hardship or other special circumstances.

Soochow University warmly welcomed teachers and students from Hong Kong's Lung Kong World Federation School Limited Lau Wong Fat Secondary School (LWFSS) for their second visit to campus on May 21, 2026. The return visit reflected the growing partnership between the two institutions and Hong Kong students’ strong interest in studying in Taiwan and experiencing university life.

In response to the Ministry of Education’s “Program of Career Counseling and Retention in Taiwan for International Students,” Soochow University and SinoPac Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on May 15, 2026, laying a solid foundation for cooperation in international talent cultivation and career development.
