Orientation for Spring 2026 Exchange Students

SCHEDULE OF ORIENTATION

• Schedule of the Orientation

Here are some reminders about what to bring and complete before/on the orientation day:

1. ORIGINAL COPY of Health Examination (Proof of Positive Measles and Rubella Antibody or Measles and Rubella Vaccination Certificates and Tuberculosis Report).
2. Cash for Accident Insurance (mandatory): NT$850 for 5 months (Feb–Jun 2026)
3. Cash for Health Insurance (optional): NT$2,500 for 5 months (Feb–Jun 2026)
   (If you choose not to purchase the group health insurance, you must provide a copy of your personal insurance policy and sign the affidavit.)
4. Cash for Bedding and SIM Card (if ordered)
   • ​​​​​​Bedding: NT$2,400
   • SIM card: NT$1,500

How to get to the Waishuanghsi Campus?

Address: 70 Linhsi Road, Shilin Dist., Taipei City台北市士林區臨溪路70號 東吳大學

1. MRT: The nearest MRT station is Shilin Station (MRT Red line). Take Exit 1 then transfer to a taxi or bus.
2. Bus: City Buses

• 255, 268, 304, 620, 645, minibuses 18 and 19, red 30 —Soochow University_Ch'ien Mu House stop
• 300, 557 —Soochow University stop

3. A taxi ride from MRT Shilin station to Soochow University costs about NT120~150.

• Tips: if you need to ask for directions, use the Chinese name of the university 東吳 (pronunciation: Dong Wu)
