Soochow University celebrated the arrival of 130 exchange students for Fall 2025 with a Welcome Party organized by the Office of International and Cross-Strait Academic Exchange (ICAE) on September 5 at Puren Hall, Waishuanghsi Campus.
Professor Wang Hsu-Chi, Dean of the Office of ICAE warmly welcomed all exchange students and visiting faculty in her opening remarks. She also expressed her gratitude to the staff and volunteers of the Center for Global Engagement and encouraged international students to make the most of their exchange experience.
This year, the welcome party brought together 130 exchange students from 11 countries and regions, including Japan, Korea, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Germany, and Mainland China, along with 35 student volunteers.
Student volunteers then led the exchange students on a campus tour and interactive group activities. These activities not only helped the students quickly familiarize themselves with the campus but also created opportunities for them to build cross-cultural friendships. Through these engaging activities organized by volunteers from ICAE, the university hopes that students from around the world will support one another and create lasting memories throughout their exchange in Taiwan.
