Orientation for Fall 2024 Exchange Students

SCHDULE OF ORIENTATION

• Date: September 6th Friday, 2024
• Time: 09:30~16:00
• Venue: Waishuanghsi Campus, International Conference Hall (B015-Grand Complex)

Here are some reminders about what to bring and complete before/on the orientation day:

1. ORIGINAL COPY of Health Examination (Proof of Positive Measles and Rubella Antibody or Measles and Rubella Vaccination Certificates and Tuberculosis Report). Please combine files and upload them in one PDF file to https://forms.gle/Mb5PJGejrVvrz2wm9 before September 1st, 2024.
2. Cash for Insurance: Accident insurance & Health insurance

• Accident insurance is MANDATORY for all incoming exchange students. Accident Insurance Fee: (NT$170 per month) NT$850 for 5 months (September 2024 January2025).
• Health Insurance Fee: NT2,500 for 5 months.(optional) If you reject to get group insurance, you need to provide a copy of the insurance policy which proof you did buy a medical insurance myself to ICAE office and sign the Affidavit (in the attached for your reference).

3. Please upload your visa page or ARC (students who are doing exchange for one year) page to https://forms.gle/8zMeuKCsmmrxGcFx8 by September 30th, 2024.
4. Students who would like to purchase a Taiwanese SIM card via SU, please prepare a copy of your passport, visa and cash (NT$1,200)

**How to get to the Waishuanghsi Campus?

Address: 70 Linhsi Road, Shilin Dist., Taipei City台北市士林區臨溪路70號 東吳大學

1. MRT: The nearest MRT station is Shilin Station (MRT Red line). Take Exit 1 then transfer to a taxi or bus.
2. Bus: City Buses

• 255, 268, 304, 620, 645, minibuses 18 and 19, red 30 —Soochow University_Ch'ien Mu House stop
• 557 —Soochow University stop

3. A taxi ride from MRT Shilin station to Soochow University costs about NT120~150.*Tips: if you need to ask for directions, use the Chinese name of the university 東吳 (pronunciation: Dong Wu)
