Soochow University Students Gain Valuable Experiences Through Overseas Exchange Programs

To encourage students to broaden their international perspectives and enhance their global competitiveness, Office of International and Cross-Strait Academic Exchange organized a series of information and experience-sharing sessions from late September to mid-October 2026. Held across both campuses and online, the events attracted over 400 participants.

Soochow University has long been committed to promoting international mobility and supporting students in pursuing overseas learning opportunities. In 2026, the University achieved an outstanding result in the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Scholarship Program, ranking second nationwide and first among private universities in awarded funding.

During the sessions, students shared their exchange experiences in Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, Australia, Japan, Korea, and mainland China. Their stories highlighted academic growth, cross-cultural communication, independent living, and personal development. Many emphasized that studying abroad not only enriched their academic knowledge but also strengthened their adaptability, confidence, and ability to embrace different cultures.
