日本早稻田大學將於2027年1月舉辦Waseda Winter Session,為鼓勵同學增廣國際視野,本校將補助5名學士班學生參加,課程以英語授課,內容包含日本文化、文學藝術及商管等。歡迎有興趣的同學報名!

課程時間:2027年1月7日至2月2日(1月11日為開課日)

報名時間:2026年9月14日至10月2日止

申請條件:

  • GPA 2.5/4.0。
  • 非英語母語者須符合以下英檢程度(該校將視情況要求提供成績單或證明):TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS: 6.0。
  • 本校學士班在學學生,不限國籍(碩博、碩專及進修學士班等不符合資格)。

  • Transcript of Grades & Grading Scale(請自行至本校註課組申請英文成績單並確認GPA達標準)。
    新生或轉學生若無在校成績,需檢附本學期修課課表(英文版)及校內師長推薦函(英文版)
    If you are a first-year student and your grades are not yet available, you must submit a list of your currently registered courses and one letter of recommendation from a professor at SU.
  • Certificate of Enrollment (請自行至本校註課組申請英文版註冊證明)
  • Passport Copy
  • Statement of Purpose: explaining your reasons for participating in the Waseda Winter Session (200 words or less, in English).

審核及補助:

  • 早稻田大學將進行審核,該校將於2026年10月23日通知審查結果,獲通過學生須於10月30日前完成線上繳費。
  • 一旦獲該校審核通過並錄取者,請將錄取通知E-mail至本校國際與兩岸事務中心承辦人余孟儒信箱:andreyu@scu.edu.tw,本中心將擇優補助5名學生每人JPY 557,000(約台幣11萬4,000元)學費及住宿費。獲補助名單將另行公告,並通知所屬學生確認;獎補助款預計於11月中旬核撥至所屬學生金融帳戶。
  • 獲補助者一旦放棄研修,應填簽放棄聲明書乙份,獎補助款應悉數繳回;本中心得視情況辦理遞補作業。
  • 獲補助學生返台後應繳交研習心得乙份(中文撰擬,至少1,500字並包含至少4張照片),心得完成後請E-mail至本校國際與兩岸事務中心承辦人余孟儒信箱。

To encourage students to broaden their international horizons, Soochow University (SU) will provide subsidies for 5 undergraduate students to participate in Waseda Winter Session in January 2027. Courses will be taught in English and cover a variety of subjects, including Japanese culture, literature and the arts, business, and management.

Program Period: January 7 - February 2, 2027 (Classes begin on January 11)

Application Period: September 14 - October 2, 2026

Eligibility Requirements:

  • GPA: A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0.
  • English Language Proficiency: All classes in this program are conducted in English. The language proficiency levels listed below are recommended: TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL iBT: 79, IELTS: 6.0.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate students at Soochow University, regardless of nationality. Graduate students, In-service Master Program students, and Undergraduate Program of Business students are not eligible to apply.

Application Procedures and Required Documents:

Students must complete the online application through Waseda University's application website by the application deadline and upload the following required documents:

  • Transcript of Grades & Grading Scale
    Freshmen or transfer students whose SU grades are not yet available must submit a list of courses currently registered for this semester and one letter of recommendation in English from an SU professor.
  • Certificate of Enrollment
  • Passport Copy
  •  Statement of Purpose
    A statement explaining your reasons for participating in the Waseda Winter Session (200 words or less, in English).

Applicants must complete their application directly through the Waseda University Winter Session website by the deadline. In addition, after submitting the application, please email to Center for Global Engagement, SU (Mr. Andre Yu: andreyu@scu.edu.tw) by the same deadline.

Selection and Financial Support:

  • Waseda University will review all applications. Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to all applicants on Friday, October 23. Students who are accepted must complete the online payment by October 30, 2026.
  • Once accepted by Waseda University, students must forward their acceptance notification to Center for Global Engagement, SU (Mr. Andre Yu: andreyu@scu.edu.tw). The Center will select 5 students to receive a subsidy of JPY 557,000 per student (approximately NT$114,000) to cover tuition and accommodation fees. The list of funding recipients will be announced separately, and the grant is expected to be disbursed to the recipients' designated bank accounts in mid-November 2026.
  • Students who withdraw from the program are required to submit a Declaration of Renunciation and repay the grant in full.
  • Funding recipients must submit a study report in Chinese (at least 1,500 Chinese characters, including at least 4 photos) to Center for Global Engagement, SU (Mr. Andre Yu: andreyu@scu.edu.tw).
